I grew up on a farm in Lacey’s Springs at the end of a dead end road. People were always dropping dogs off at or near
my home so I was never lacking a training partner Bless my parents hearts I found four puppies at one time and they (after a lot
of me crying, arguing and pleading) let me keep them. That was one of the best times in my childhood raising and training four
black labs. I never had to fence them in or tie them up they followed me around the farm or stayed at home with me always came
when I called and never chased the cows (one of my parent’s firmest rules, if the dogs hurt the cows they had to go).
At one point I owned nine dogs. I spotted a small group of wild dogs and over time convinced them to come live with
me and the labs. I have had a pack of dogs since I was seven or eight years old currently I have a Golden Retriever (Bonnie Sue
Lou) a German Shepard (Einstein) and an adorable mix of Pyrenees, Golden Retriever and bull dog (Albert). My family and I live
on the farm where I grew up and my kids and dogs are all free roaming and (the dogs at least) are all well trained.
By the time your Beginner or Puppy lessons are finished your dog will probably be half way through most intermediate
training courses. After graduating the Intermediate and Advanced training courses your dog should be ready to take and
pass the Canine Good Citizen test. Of course pet training is not just about the pet, you have to be trained as well. I will be
training you how to train your dog and your consistency is very important. I know that won’t be a problem because training
with us is fun! Dogs really are our best friends.
Thank You and Happy Training!
