Welcome and thank you for coming to Dogs Like Us!

It is my goal to teach you to communicate with your dog using hand signals, body

language and your voice. We do off leash training in our programs depending upon

the owners preferences and the dogs temperament. All too often when a dog gets loose

the owner looses control of them. I have a lifetime of experience of teaching dogs to

obey off leash, when you can control your dog on an outing without relying on a leash you

know you have a solid relationship.

One of the most frustrating parts of training for most people is house training. If you

have a new dog or puppy and need help with crate training, house training, anxiety or

barking issues read house training by me Laura Matkin for some tips and suggestions

including how to teach your dog to ring a bell among other neat ways to teach your dog to

signal you.

I love training dogs and it shows I have consistently exceeded our clients and my

training goals. By the time your Beginner or Puppy lessons are finished your dog will

probably be half way through most intermediate training courses. After graduating the

Intermediate and Advanced training courses your dog should be ready to take and pass the

Canine Good Citizen test. Of course pet training is not just about the pet, you have to be

trained as well. I will train you how to train your dog. I have worked with thousands of owners

so I can tell you that learning to train your dog won’t be a problem because training with us

is easy and fun! Dogs really are our best friends.

We are one of the few training companies that can say all of our training comes

with lifetime support. This means you can call us at any time for advice in the future and if

some problem behavior comes up and together we can’t solve it over the phone we will

come over to help you solve your problem at no extra charge! I have trained well over a

thousand owners, dogs and puppies of all sizes and breeds from toy Chihuahuas to giant

English Mastiffs each with their own personality and I look very forward to meeting and training you

and yours.
